Sometimes I am left baffled by why people choose to live in certain climates (including myself!) ... I am currently in Southern California on a 1-week business trip. I have encountered 25 degrees celsius weather all week. Its beautiful. I have energy to wake up in the morning, go outside, I even feel like going for a jog along the ocean! So why then is it that people choose to live in cold dreary climates? Is it the friendly people? Is it just that they are "stuck" - ie. secure job, secure lifestyle, dislike change ?
I'm not sure what it is, but I know I love the sun. One day perhaps I'll take a "risk" and re-locate from Toronto to a sunny climate.
I couldn't agree with you more...in fact, that is why i moved (2 years ago) from Long Island NY down here to sunny West Palm Beach Florida :) And i couldn't be happier!! SoCal is definitely a place I'd like to look into.... ;)

It's because coldy weather gives you more time to be sleepy, and play nintendo.
