Image is important not just in your website or corporate designs... but also in your personal appearance, and lifestyle. You have to live how you want to be portrayed.
A few scenarios:
- if you want to be seen as a rockstar / cool guy, you don't get caught waiting in line at a club. Whatever you have to do, make sure you "walk right in" ... it might cost you a bit of money, but thats the cost of being a rockstar
- if you want to be seen as a funky cool design agency, you don't show up in a suit and tie.
- if you want to be viewed as rich and successful, you don't get caught driving a Hyundai! (no offense to Hyundai owners!)
Sometimes its going to cost you a bit of money, but there are a lot of rewards. You must very carefully manage your personal image. Think of yourself as a business. You need to pick what you want to be, and be that way all the time.
